Where is the Rotary year going... it’s September already.

In this month’s newsletter we highlight numerous projects in District 9940 and some timely updates, including for the Rotary Foundation - also, take a look at Graeme Blick's blog post. This is where you can personally assist our organisation by considering a personal donation.

I note in this month’s ‘Governor’s Message’ how a casual search in Google for ‘Rotary International Projects’ revels how much Rotary is making a difference in our communities and around the world.

To me it’s all about the kindness of ordinary people with the vision and drive to ensure that we leave this world a better place than when we found it. Further evidence of this can be seen in this month's edition of Rotary Down Under, which features some unbelievable service projects.

By the way, the Rotary The Rotary Club Of Waikanae is celebrating 50 years on 7 May 2016. If you're a past member, you might like to contact President Graham Calvert for details.

And I know you won’t need reminding that September is Basic Education and Literacy Month.
