Welcome to the Rotary website covering the lower part of the North Island. From Waitara across to Raetihi, Ohakune, Taihape, and through to Dannevirke and south to the Cook Strait, Rotary is active in most communities.
This website gives an insight to some of the activities Rotarians and Rotary clubs do, here and further afield.
At its core, Rotary is about local people helping make our communities richer in all the ways that make a difference. There are 57 clubs and 1900 current Rotarians. They are people who are leaders, who exchange ideas and who take action. Explore some of the things we do. They are as diverse as Rotarians themselves - and there is always room for someone else who wants to make a difference, too.
The website features news and views. It links to many clubs across the district and also to national and international Rotary sites. Rotarians can click through to the Rotary International site for members, MyRotary. You can find a club anywhere in the world, by clicking on Club Finder.
I will be posting as regularly as I can and I invite you to comment and give me feedback. Comments won’t be live immediately but I try to reply as I can.
